Most discussions about AI in banking ask the wrong question.
They ask whether AI can help analysts write reports faster. Whether copilots can summarize meetings. Whether a chatbot can answer client questions. Whether a model can improve a forecast by 20 basis points.
Those are useful questions. But they are not the big one.
The bigger question is this:
What happens when AI no longer supports a bank’s decision-making process from the edges, but starts to rewire the process itself?
